Abbotsford-based company announces addition of new B-RAD Xtreme wrench
Abbotsford's RAD Torque Systems recently announced they have launched the world's most powerful battery-powered torque wrench.
The B-RAD Xtreme is capable of torquing up to 11,000 feet/pounds or 15,000 on the Newton Meter.
The B-RAD X comes in three different sizes:
"We believe the B-RAD X is going to revolutionize the industry and change how big industry works. This tool will make the toughest torque jobs easier to tackle, faster to secure and safer for all operators," stated Dan Provost, president and owner at RAD Torque Systems. "RAD Torque is known for its innovation, and we are proud to be the first in the world to deliver a battery powered torque tool with this much power."
The idea behind the wrench is to make it easier to fasten bolts in remote locations, offer increased mobility for bigger jobs and less equipment for companies to have to lug around.
"The B-RAD X was developed in response to the demands of our customers who required increased portability and higher performance in a torque wrench," stated Luke Timmermans, senior engineer at the RAD Torque Systems. "We have meticulously designed and engineered the B-RAD X from scratch, offering users an exceptional industrial torque tool that excels in handling the most substantial bolting tasks worldwide, all without the need for cables. It's the only tool of its kind in the world."
The Abbotsford-based company was the first in the world to produce a battery powered torque gun (with patents in the USA and Canada) about 10 years ago.
